• Express Entry Stream for Skilled Workers
  • This “enhanced” stream aligns with the federal Express Entry system. Candidates in the federal pool who meet the eligibility criteria for the Northwest Territories’ Skilled Worker stream may qualify for nomination.
  • Securing a nomination through this stream grants an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points, ensuring an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency.
• Skilled Worker Stream
  • For foreign nationals with an offer of employment in a skilled occupation from a Northwest Territories employer.
  • Candidates must have at least six months of experience working in the nominated position within the territory.
• Entry-Level/Semi-Skilled Occupations Stream
  • Ideal for those working in essential occupations where employers face labor shortages and cannot find Canadian candidates.
  • Applicants must have worked in the position for at least six months before applying.

2. Business Immigration Program: For Entrepreneurs and Investors

The Business Stream under the NTNP is designed for individuals who can demonstrate the ability to start, acquire, or invest in a business in the Northwest Territories. This stream aims to attract entrepreneurs who will contribute to the region’s economic growth and job creation.

  • Candidates must show a viable business plan that provides economic benefits and creates jobs for local residents.
