Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)

Discover New Opportunities in Saskatchewan with the SINP

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) offers various immigration pathways to help individuals achieve Canadian permanent residency while contributing to the province’s economic growth. As one of Canada’s fastest-growing regions, Saskatchewan’s thriving economy is driven by agriculture, natural resources, and innovation. The Black Bear Canadian Immigration Services is here to help you navigate this journey, ensuring a smooth and successful immigration process.

Why Choose Saskatchewan?

Saskatchewan is a prime destination for newcomers, welcoming over 15,000 immigrants annually, a significant increase from previous years. With a population of just over one million, the province offers a high employment rate (76%) and strong retention (85%) for immigrants. The SINP plays a crucial role in this success, with 70% of newcomers arriving through the program. Saskatchewan’s diverse immigration options make it a highly accessible pathway to Canadian residency.

Saskatchewan Immigration Streams

The SINP provides four primary categories, each tailored to different needs and profiles:

  1. International Skilled Worker Category
  2. Saskatchewan Experience Category
  3. Entrepreneur and Farm Category
  4. International Graduate Entrepreneur Category
  1. International Skilled Worker Category

Designed for skilled workers who wish to live and work in Saskatchewan, this category offers several pathways:

  • Tech Talent Pathway: For workers with job offers in one of 11 tech occupations.
  • Employment Offer: For skilled workers with a job offer from a Saskatchewan employer.
  • Occupations In Demand: For those with experience in in-demand occupations in the province, even without a job offer.
  • Saskatchewan Express Entry: Aligned with the federal Express Entry system, this sub-category offers additional 600 CRS points, almost guaranteeing an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence.
  1. Saskatchewan Experience Category

This category is for foreign workers and graduates already in Saskatchewan. It includes six pathways:

  • Skilled Worker With Existing Work Permit: For those working in Saskatchewan for at least six months with a valid work permit.

  4. Business Operation: Actively operate your business and meet BPA requirements.

Enhanced vs. Base Streams

The SINP offers both “enhanced” and “base” streams. The Enhanced Stream is connected to the federal Express Entry system, which manages applications for Canada’s main economic immigration programs. Receiving a nomination through an enhanced stream provides an additional 600 CRS points. Base Streams require candidates to apply directly to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) after receiving a nomination.
