✔ Eligibility Requirements:
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident living in Canada
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be the child or grandchild of the individuals you wish to sponsor
- Meet the Minimum Necessary Income (MNI) requirement and provide proof through Canada Revenue Agency-issued notices of assessment
- Sign a 20-year sponsorship agreement to support the sponsored family members
- If residing in Quebec, sign an additional agreement with the provincial government
Your spouse or common-law partner can co-sign the sponsorship agreement, helping meet the financial evaluation for parents and grandparents sponsorship. The co-signer must meet eligibility criteria and have lived with you in a conjugal relationship for at least one year.
